Okay, let's dive headfirst into (Лучшие предложения!), because let's be honest, finding a good hotel in Warsaw can feel like navigating a minefield. This review, well, it's going to be a bit of a rollercoaster, the kind where you spill your coffee, but hey, you feel something. Ready? Let's go!
First Impressions & The "Wow" Factor (or Lack Thereof!)
Alright, so "Мечты в Mennica Residence!"… Sounds amazing, right? Dream apartments! Initially, my dreams were more like, "Please, just let the elevator work." (It did, thankfully). The location is prime though. Right in the thick of things, which means you can ditch the car (more on that later) and actually explore Warsaw.
The Rooms: Your Personal Fortress of Solitude (Or Not!)
- Available in all rooms: Well, duh! Let's get to the REAL meat. Air conditioning – THANK GOD! You need it in summer.
- The good stuff: The rooms are actually pretty well-equipped. Think comfy beds, those blackout curtains you dreamed about after a long day. The internet worked (thank you, sweet baby Jesus!), and the coffee/tea maker was a lifesaver. My room had a view, but I suspect that varies. Mine was decent, but I did glimpse some scaffolding across from my window (which, let's be honest, is the Polish equivalent of a charming village scene if you're talking construction).
- The quirks: The bathroom… okay, I had a separate shower and bathtub but I'm not sure if ALL rooms do. The "complimentary tea" felt a little stingy on the actual tea bags, and that's the real test of a hotel. Do they care about your caffeine fix?!
Cleanliness and Safety: Did I Survive?!
- The paranoia: Okay, let's be real. Post-pandemic, we're all a little neurotic. This place gets top marks for safety. The "staff trained in safety protocol" gave me some peace of mind.
- The details: "Anti-viral cleaning products," "physically distancing of at least 1 meter" – check. Everything felt genuinely clean.
Accessibility: Anyone Can (Maybe) Enjoy This
- The truth: "Facilities for disabled guests" are listed, but I can't personally speak to how extensive they are. There's an elevator, and the location is generally pretty flat, which is a win. Important: Double-check specific room accessibility if you need it.
Dining, Drinking, and Snacking: Fueling the Adventure
- The buffet: I love a buffet (especially after a night of Polish vodka - which is NOT on the list, unfortunately). The breakfast buffet at Mennica Residence was decent – a solid selection of continental and cooked options. The coffee, again, was a bit weak for my taste.
- The "a la carte" restaurant: I tried lunch at the restaurant once. The food was good and the service was lovely.
- The "poolside bar": I didn't find a poolside bar. Sad face. This is a city hotel, after all.
Things to Do & Ways to Relax: Beyond the Room
- The Fitness Center: I did manage to hit the gym. It was well-equipped, thankfully. I was able to get my pre-trip anxiety workout in.
- The Spa (with a sauna and steam room!) Now, here’s where the real fun starts! I spent a solid afternoon in the spa. The sauna was a lifesaver after a long day of walking.
Services and Conveniences: The Nuts and Bolts
- The front desk (24-hour): Always a good thing.
- The helpful stuff: Luggage storage, concierge service, dry cleaning, laundry service – all available. Essentially, it's a well-oiled machine in this area.
Getting Around: The Warsaw Shuffle
- Car park (free of charge) OK, so, I thought this was a major plus! I got in a bit of a flap about parking. I'd recommend leaving your car at home IF you stay here. Warsaw is totally walkable, and the public transport is actually pretty efficient.
For the Kids (If You Have 'Em!)
- Family-friendly: They list it. I didn't see any kids' specific amenities, but I wasn't looking that hard either.
My Honest Verdict
Mennica Residence is a solid choice. It's not perfect, but it's comfortable, well-located, and safe. Would I stay there again? Absolutely, especially if I was looking for a central location.

Because life's too short for bad hotels."
Let's get this Polish adventure on the road… or, rather, into the Golden Apartments – Mennica Residence! Here's my attempt at a Warsaw itinerary, fueled by copious amounts of coffee and a healthy dose of procrastination. And trust me, it's gonna be a mess, just like me!
(Day 1: Arrival and First Impressions - OH MY GOD, I'M ACTUALLY HERE!)
- 14:00 (ish, because who am I kidding?): Okay, landing. The plane’s rattling like it's held together with duct tape and prayer, but hey, we made it! Warsaw Chopin Airport. (Finally!) The passport control guy looked like he’d seen a thousand tourists, and probably wanted to eat them for breakfast. (At least smile for once!) But hey, I got through!
- 15:00-16:00: Taxi scramble! Finding a taxi that doesn't look like it belongs in a museum is a challenge. Finally, a slightly less terrifying one. Praying the driver understands my broken Polish (more broken than I thought, whoops!). Hopefully, he'll get us to Mennica Residence in one piece.
- 16:00-17:00: Checking in at the Golden Apartments – Mennica Residence. Okay, the lobby… it’s… gold. Really, really gold. I'm half expecting a dragon to come out and guard the elevators. Receptionist lady… sharp. Definitely seen a few tourists wandering around like clueless chickens. Hopefully, she’s not too judging of my luggage explosion in the lobby.
- 17:00-19:00: Apartment exploration! Flipping out about how fancy the place is. Living room - check. Kitchen - check. Bedroom - check. Did I just accidentally book a palace?! The balcony! Oh. My. God. View over Warsaw. Just… wow. Time to crack open a bottle of something bubbly (probably prosecco, because priorities) and admire the view. This could be the start of something beautiful… or the start of me getting hopelessly lost and ordering pizza every night.
- 19:00-20:00: Attempt at a food run. Trying to navigate a Polish supermarket. The shelves are crammed with things I've never seen before. "Kiełbasa" - I think I know what that is. "Ogórki kiszone" - pickles, right? My Polish vocabulary is gonna get a workout. Praying I don’t accidentally buy a can of something vaguely resembling cat food.
- 20:00-21:00: Dinner. Back at the apartment. My "masterpiece" (a hastily assembled sandwich). Realizing I probably won't be a culinary star on this trip. But the prosecco is still good!
- 21:00-23:00: Planning a leisurely walk around the area, but I got caught in my fancy apartment and fell asleep on the couch.
(Day 2: Old Town and Shopping - HELP, MY WALLET!)
- 9:00 (ish, because the jet lag is REAL): Wake up! Attempt to locate coffee. The coffee machine in this apartment is probably more complicated than my tax return. Finally, coffee! Life is good again.
- 10:00-11:00: A brisk walk (maybe a little too brisk) to the Старый Город (Old Town). Getting lost. Asking for directions, butchering the Polish language. Some kind soul helpfully points me the right direction, but I suspect they're also mildly amused.
- 11:00-14:00: Strolling around the Old Town Square. Photos! Photos! Photos! Capturing everything from the colorful buildings to the street performers. Almost ran into a mime, which was terrifying! The whole square is ridiculously charming. Feeling like I've stepped into a fairytale.
- 14:00-15:00: Lunch. Trying pierogi. SO GOOD. Could eat a million. Possibly will. Finding a cozy little restaurant with a view of the square. People watching. Making up backstories for everyone I see. Who is that guy with the incredibly flamboyant scarf?!
- 15:00-18:00: Shopping! Ugh. Trouble. Searching for amber jewelry. Getting completely ripped off (probably, but hey the pieces look pretty). Trying to negotiate in broken Polish. Discovering a hidden gem of a vintage shop. Buying something I DON'T need. Surprise!
- 18:00-19:00: Dinner. Trying to find a traditional Polish restaurant outside the Old Town. Getting a little lost. Almost ending up in a kebab joint. Found a place! Trying "żurek" soup. It tastes… interesting.
- 19:00-21:00: Evening stroll along the Royal Route. The lights! The atmosphere! More photos! Almost stepped in something… unpleasant. Learning to watch where I walk.
- 21:00-23:00: Back to the apartment. Collapsing on the couch. Going through all the pictures. Thinking about tomorrow.
(Day 3: Museums and Learning - MY BRAIN IS FULL!)
- 9:00: Coffee, again. Must. Have. Coffee.
- 10:00-13:00: Museum of the Warsaw Uprising – This is a must-do. This one hit me hard. The exhibits are so well done, and the stories are heartbreaking and inspiring all at once. I need a moment to process.
- 13:00-14:00: Lunch. Needed something light after all the feelings. Finding a cafe near the museum.
- 14:00-16:00: Trying, and probably failing, to grasp all the history.
- 16:00-18:00: Walking around the city.
- 18:00-20:00: Dinner in a restaurant. And, of course, more photos!
День 4: Mennica Residence and Departure (Day 4: Mennica Residence and Departure - I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!)
- 9:00: Coffee, coffee, coffee. Last day to enjoy those amazing views from the balcony.
- 10:00-12:00: More exploring of the apartment. Realizing how spoiled I’ve been. This place is ridiculously comfortable. Seriously considering staying forever. Thinking about the last few days.
- 12:00-13:00: Packing. Inevitably, struggling to fit everything back into my suitcase. Stuff I bought, the stuff I didn’t need… this is going to be fun.
- 13:00-14:00: Last Polish snack. Reluctantly checking out. Saying goodbye to the golden dragon of a lobby.
- 14:00-15:00: Taxi to the airport. Holding my breath.
- 15:00-17:00: Airport drama. Security lines, waiting, praying my plane doesn’t get delayed.
- 17:00: Boarding the plane. Looking out the window, one last look at Warsaw. Already missing it. Missing all the pierogi. Missing the gold. Missing the adventure.
- On the plane: Reflecting on my Polish adventure. Everything was a little bit messy, a little bit chaotic, and absolutely unforgettable.
- Next time: I'll learn more Polish. And I'll pace myself on the shopping. And I definitely won't skip the pierogi. Poland! Until next time!
Mennica?
Naydi Hotel
